Our mission is to train professionals to achieve their communication goals through the study of acting and theater techniques; to make your message clear and compelling. The goal is not to lecture long and hard about the aesthetics of theater, or the great styles of acting past and present. Rather, it is to stand you up and get you moving and acting, and to teach you the skills of communication which are often overlooked and yet are so important in our culture of multimedia and information overload. We are going to teach you not just how to be human, but to act the humanity of your words.

The American Academy of Professional Performance Education (AAPPE) works with professionals in the preparation and development of symposia, presentations, and the improvement of skills in lectures and seminars. Lawyers, doctors, and corporate executives can benefit from this focused and personal approach. AAPPE also has workshops for professional actors to strengthen their skills and to create concise and strategic business plans for furthering their careers.

Body, Voice, Mind workshop is located at the renowned Gene Frankel Theatre. These classes are designes to train both the beginner looking to break into the industry and advanced actors trying to rejuvinate their career or move up to the next level. Too many times we allow our careers to go fallow after years of great work. Todays actor must work on acting skills and business skills in the same class. Park Borchert has developed a system of classes that prepare us to find the opportunities to develope our craft, find the work and be able to give your best performance when that moment arrives. for the moment.

Park Borchert studied with such great teachers as William Hickey, Milton Katsalas, Jane Brody, Warren Robertson, Herbert Bergoff. Dr. Borchert also studied acting at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Madison where here recieved his bachelors' degree. He recieved his Doctorate in Education for the Performing Art from Hartford University and His Masters' in Film and Multimedia from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

"I like to focus on two main points in our workshops. First, acting. This is a given, but should be as refined as the skills of fine jewler. The second is strategy. Unless an actor has a strategy as to how he is going to get acting jobs and a good agent then he is wasting his time here and would be better off developing his computer skills. My students are the actors who are working, not temping."
